Humanitarian aid for people in Mykhailivka
Bringing healing and relief to the hearts of the families of the military.
Our team and we started visiting the families of active military personnel living in our area.
We actively involve the entire church community whenever possible. Someone wants to pray, someone wants to donate money, someone wants to cook, buy necessary things, etc.
Families of the military are a special category of people, unlike any other. All their attention is spun around the news from a loved one who risks his life at the front day and night. Relatives of active soldiers live in constant stress. However, because they are so focused on getting regular news from their men to be assured that they are alive, they forget about their own wellbeing and they don’t ask for help. The war affects families of military personnel the most.
Our team on the planning meeting
Here’s what we do to help:
- Home visits to families of soldiers who are currently serving.
Visiting families of the deceased: expressing grief, moral and spiritual support, providing legal assistance.
- Visiting families of missing military personnel: expressing support, legal assistance.
- Developing materials and plans for weekly meetings with these families.
- Organizing and conducting meetings with families on a weekly basis.
On this photo families of military personnel sign flags in church. They wrote names of their husbands or sons on one flag, and their own names on second flag. Church obliged to pray for everyone, whose name written on flags.
Ministry to military personnel in partnership with chaplains.
Starting on February 26th of 2022 my wife and I got involved as volunteers. Some time later we began helping the soldiers in various ways and preaching the Gospel to them. The church supported the initiative and we continued visiting the soldiers at the front line with humanitarian aid as well as with the Gospel.
- Visiting 3 military units at the places of deployment in the frontline zone at least once a month.

- Conducting conversations and worship services in the units.
Sometimes I have opportunity to organize Sunday service for the soldiers and preach for them.
- Visiting chaplains and providing pastoral care for them.
There are 3 pastors, 2 chaplains, 1 chaplain assistant and our team on this photo was taken after the Sunday service in Dobropillia, city near the front line on Donbas.
